Der bulgarische Bass Emil Zhelev studierte Gesang an der Staatlichen Universität Sofia bei Blagovesta Karnobatlova, Evgenia Dundekova und Claudio Desderi. Er ist Preisträger zahlreicher Wettbewerbe, so gewann er u.a. 2000 den Internationalen Operngesangswettbewerb "Umberto Giordano" und 2001 den Wettbewerb in Ruffano / Lecce. Ab 2000 lebte und sang er in Italien. Derzeit ist er Ensemblemitglied der Staatsoper in Ruse.
Болгарский бас Эмиль Желев учился пению в Софийском государственном университете у Благовесты Карнобатловой, Евгении Дундековой и Клаудио Дездери. Он выиграл множество конкурсов, включая Международный конкурс оперного пения 2000 года «Умберто Джордано» и конкурс 2001 года в Руффано / Лечче. С 2000 года жил и пел в Италии. В настоящее время он является участником ансамбля Государственной оперы в Русе.
